PureVPN charged me over €400 in three separate payments for a 36-month renewal I never agreed to. I received no prior notice, no price update, and no reminder before this excessive charge was made. In my account, the subscription is still shown as €2.03 per month, which makes this amount completely unjustifiable. I contacted customer support immediately. They cancelled the subscription but refused a refund, hiding behind internal policy – ignoring the fact that such automatic long-term renewals without proper notice are illegal under EU consumer law. This is not a trustworthy service. I’ve initiated a chargeback through my payment provider and would strongly advise others to avoid PureVPN altogether. If you have any doubt, Just scroll though the subreddit /PureVPNcom.
They claimed I upgraded my subscription, which I did not, as I don't use the service. They tried charging me 7 times and 2 charges went through. I tried to get refunded and they told me I could not get refunded. They offered to refund me one of the payments as it was an "error" and asked if I would like a refund. Ummm yes it was an error charge. The refund was never completed. Don't not use their services as they try to scam you.
Pure vpn operates as a scam company. They will not notify you of the renewal period and not let you cancel the renewal on the day of renewal, even under a long term subscription such as 3 years. The reason I want to quit is because the vpn became unworkable even when contacting the service 100s of times for technical support Beware, do not let yourself get robbed by this company and avoid like the plague
